Club Netball

Netball at Townsville Grammar School provides a fantastic opportunity for students to engage in a fun, fast-paced team sport while developing important skills such as teamwork, communication, and strategic thinking. The school offers two exciting competitions to cater to various age groups and skill levels:

Junior Competition – Played on Wednesday Nights

• U12: Students turning 11 or 12 years old in 2025
• U15: Students turning 13, 14, or 15 years old in 2025
• U18: Students turning 16, 17, or 18 years old in 2025

The Junior Competition provides an excellent platform for players to refine their netball skills in a supportive and competitive environment. Teams compete against other schools and clubs, fostering both individual growth and team spirit.

SetGo Competition – Played on Tuesday Nights

• Students turning 7–10 years old in 2025

The SetGo Competition is designed for younger players to get involved in netball in a fun, less competitive environment. It's a fantastic introduction to the sport, allowing young athletes to learn the basics of netball while having fun with their friends and teammates.

Training and Development
Each team’s training schedule may vary depending on the age group and availability, with sessions designed to develop technical skills, fitness, and understanding of the game. Training sessions are an essential part of the player experience, where athletes work on core skills such as passing, shooting, footwork, and defensive strategies. Players also learn about the importance of teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship.
