North Ward Campus update

Dear TGS community,

At this point, power has not yet been turned on at the North Ward Campus. The Ergon website gives an estimated time of resumption before 10:00pm this evening. Once the power is switched back on, some time will be needed to ensure we are fully operational.

At this stage, making a call on the opening of the North Ward campus tomorrow is challenging, and we want to give families and staff as much notice as possible to make arrangements if necessary.

Therefore, we will wait until 6:00pm before we make a final decision. If power supply has not resumed by 6:00pm and we do not have any other advice from Ergon, we will most likely make the call that School will not be operating tomorrow at North Ward. Even if the power is reconnected overnight, it will be too late to issue communications and too late for families to make other arrangements.  Making a call to open the School and then being faced with a lack of power will cause significant difficulty for all concerned.

I will issue another update at 6:00pm (approx.) and hopefully we will have more news.  This advice will be communicated via the School App, social media and website. 

Families are advised to make plans in the event that the North Ward campus is not able to open tomorrow.

As was advised yesterday, Annandale and North Shore Junior School, Pre-Prep and OSHC will re-open tomorrow.
