How Townsville Grammar Encourages Family Engagement
Townsville Grammar School recognises that parental and family involvement is an incredibly powerful part of any educational and development program. That’s why we’ve carefully crafted an environment that keeps families aware and involved in our students’ status and activities. Whether it’s joining the Parents Network, attending school events or just staying in the loop with our newsletters and social media outlets, there are many ways you can get involved. If you have any questions about our engagement programs and principles, please feel free to get in touch with us!
Parents Network
Whether your child attends our Townsville primary school or high school, we encourage you to join our parents network. These are monthly meetings in which we discuss ways that parents can support the school through a wide range of activities and events. This network is also a great way to meet other parents and help to build our community spirit!
School Event Integration
As one of the most prestigious and diverse Townsville schools, we have a wide range of events that parents and families are most welcome to attend. Whether it’s cheering on your child at one of their sporting events, coming along to one of our many lunches and functions, or watching a production put on by our grammarians, your presence is more than welcomed. This keeps you part of the school community, while also making sure that your child knows that their family is engaged in their progression and achievements.
Newsletters and Social Media
Keep up with what’s going on with our newsletters and social media handles. Our monthly principal’s newsletter is a great way to stay informed about what’s happened recently at the school and what’s coming up. Alternatively, if your child attends our Townsville Primary School, the bi-weekly Junior School News may be more suitable. You can also follow us on Facebook and Instagram, or download the school app.
If your child is enrolled at one of our Townsville schools, it’s important to stay connected. Call us, or contact us online if you have any questions, or if you’re ready to get involved!
